EMPOWER, standing for ETI Mentoring Program Offering Women Extra Resources, is steadfast in our mission to “Recruit, Retain, and Support Female Apprentices and Journey-level workers in our Local”. Our monthly gatherings, held every 2nd Thursday at 4:00 PM, are not only opportunities for camaraderie but also a platform for continued learning. Each meeting promises a free dinner, a monthly raffle for our attendees, and an entry ticket for the Grand Raffle prize to be awarded at our December 2023 meeting.
For the past 26 years, "Women in Non-Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER)" has significantly impacted the lives of numerous women by providing free pre-apprenticeship training. This initiative has played a pivotal role in reshaping the narratives of these women.
"2nd Call" is a grassroots nonprofit established in 2006, dedicated to fostering community safety, justice, and liberation. The organization's core goal is to save lives by minimizing violence and supporting the personal growth of marginalized individuals, including high-risk individuals, proven offenders, ex-felons, and parolees who are often overlooked by society.
The Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC) is focused on ending mass incarceration in California. By fostering safe, healthy, and complete communities, ARC enables both formerly and currently incarcerated individuals to flourish. This is achieved through a robust support system, inclusive reentry services, and chances to participate in advocating for policy reforms.
