The Electrical Training Institute is proud to introduce its 2025 Hydrogen Lab, a groundbreaking initiative designed to demonstrate and educate on the future of sustainable energy solutions. This unique living lab will showcase hydrogen-based energy systems, featuring advanced technologies such as Class 4 (Fault-Managed Power Systems) wiring methods and traditional wiring practices. These demonstrations will illustrate both the evolution and application of electrical systems in the rapidly advancing energy sector. Additionally, the space will include circadian lighting, offering insights into how smart lighting can optimize energy efficiency and enhance wellness.
Unlike traditional hands-on laboratories, the Hydrogen Lab will primarily function as a demonstration space and educational resource for tours, events, and industry professionals. Monitors displaying videos and storyboards will guide visitors through the hydrogen production process, from water electrolysis to end-user applications like fuel cells and energy storage. These multimedia tools will complement the physical displays of equipment, helping participants understand the broader impact of hydrogen technologies and their role in the transition to clean energy. Enhancing the visual experience, we also have some artists concepts of the lab space created by our very own special projects assistant Anthy Hadjimarkos that provide an artistic and informative overview of the lab's layout, showcasing the placement of equipment and systems in an accessible and engaging format.
This innovative space reflects ETI’s commitment to integrating emerging technologies into its educational offerings, preparing the next generation of electrical workers to lead the way in sustainable energy solutions. Whether you're a student, educator, or industry leader, the Hydrogen Lab provides an engaging environment to explore the science, technology, and real-world applications of hydrogen energy systems. Stay tuned for updates as we bring this vision to life in 2025!
