In October, twenty St. Paul High School students visited the ETI to explore careers in the electrical trade. They got a firsthand look at the many types of jobs in the field and learned how union membership can provide good pay, healthcare, and ongoing support.

Training Director David Nott explained how the apprenticeship program lets apprentices earn a paycheck while they learn on the job—all with a strong focus on safety and zero student debt. The day ended with a hands-on conduit bending session, where students learned to use real tools to create precise bends.

ETI hopes experiences like this will spark interest in the trade and show students the value of union membership as they consider future careers.
