On Thursday, July 31, ETI welcomed 30+ high school girls from LAWA’s Girls Build LA Careers Exploration Program for a day of discovery in the electrical and renewable energy trades.

The day kicked off with an overview of ETI’s Apprenticeship Program, introducing how students can earn while they learn in a rewarding electrical career. During a guided tour, participants explored our labs and training spaces, getting an up-close look at real-world electrical work.

They then learned about renewable energy and the basics of electricity, gaining insight into the future of clean energy and the electricians who power it. After a quick lunch, the group took part in a hands-on activity, such as basic wiring or solar panel setup, giving them a real feel for the trade. 

This visit was more than just educational—it was empowering. These young women left with greater confidence and curiosity about AEC careers, and we’re proud to be part of their journey.
