At the Electrical Training Institute, progress doesn’t happen all at once—it builds. Over the past two years, we’ve been steadily transforming our training spaces to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving electrical industry. Now, we're entering a new strategic phase of that transformation, and it starts with a fresh round of improvements in the warehouse.
This spring, we’re launching another focused cleanup effort—not a reset, but a continuation. We’re clearing out outdated classroom furniture, unused materials, and anything that no longer supports the direction we’re headed. This effort is designed to open up space for exciting new lab environments and more streamlined, functional use of the warehouse.
What’s Taking Shape
While this phase includes physical cleanup, it’s driven by vision. The goal is clear: prepare the facility for the next generation of high-impact training environments that align with the future of the trade.
- The MAD LAB (Makeup And Device Lab): Outside the warehouse, in our motor control lab room, the MAD LAB is a standout example of our commitment to precision training. These compact boards—only 18" x 24"—are complete with 44 NEC code sections and QR-coded content to support instant, on-demand learning. We’re modifying the space to host this lab and ensure it integrates seamlessly into our training flow.
- Warehouse Readiness: The warehouse cleanup sets the stage for even more innovation. Though we’re keeping the details under wraps for now, new lab environments are coming that will expand what’s possible in hands-on training—raising the ceiling for how we teach, simulate, and prepare apprentices for the field.
Moving with Purpose
This isn’t just about reorganizing a space—it’s about staying aligned with our mission. Every decision we make about our physical environment is tied to how we support the next wave of electrical professionals. The last two years have shown what’s possible when we stay focused, and this phase pushes that vision forward.
Stay tuned. We’re not just cleaning up—we’re building the future, one lab at a time.
